Adjective used as noun in Indonesian Language

Usually, in English, there are two definitions to denote measurement ( the noun and its adjective ), for example : length and long or tall ; width and wide or broad . Now, that won't happen in Indonesian Language. There are word used as a noun and also an adjective in Indonesian Language.

For Instance :

Panjang = length and long or tall
Lebar =  width and wide or broad
Jauh = distance, far
Berat = weight , heavy
Example sentences :

Berapa panjang kain itu ?
What is the length of the fabric ?

Mereka tahu lebar meja itu
They know the width of the table

Jauh dari sini ke sana adalah 10 km
The distance between here and there are 10 km

Berat kamu berapa ?
How much do you weigh ?
