How to make "an order" in Indonesian Language ?

Imperative sentence in Indonesian language is pretty similar like the one in English. So, simply just use the "to infinitive or the root word of the verb. Now, here's the explanation :

1. Command/ Order : use the root word of the verb
  • Pergi !
  • Angkat !
  • Buka !
  • Jawab !
2. Request : add suffix "-lah" to the root word of the verb
  • Bukalah !
  • Ambillah !
  • Makanlah !
-We can add word "coba" ( try ) or "tolong" ( please ) at the beginning to make a softer or politer order
  • Tolong buka kotak itu
  • Coba jawablah
3. Polite request : add "silahkan" at the beginning, which means in English " Would you please "
  • Silahkan gambar
  • Silahkan duduk
  • Silahkan makan
4. Making invitation or suggestion : add "mari" ( Let's/ let us )
  • Mari pergi ke sana
  • Mari makan makanan ini
  • Mari minum
 5. *From all of those 4 rules above, we can also change the verb into "ber-" or "me-" added verb
  • Berhentilah !
  • Silahkan berdiri
  • Silahkan membuka
  • Mari menyanyi/ bernyanyi ( in this sentence, "me-" acts as intransitive verb )
