Idiom in Indonesian 3

1. As i said before, especially on the "Preposition in Indonesian language" post, Indonesian doesn't use any rule for preposition. This time i'm gonna show you how easy the Indonesian can be. On this post, i choose the time-related preposition "pada" and place-related preposition "di" as the prove ^_^.

"Pada" is a Indonesian preposition of time

For example :

• pada siang hari = in the middday
• pada tahun 2008 = in year 2008
• pada hari Senin yang akan datang = on next monday
• pada musim panas yang lalu = in the last summer 
• pada pukul 6 sore = at 6 p.m.

No matter what the time-related noun is, the preposition is still "pada".
Day, hour, date and etc use only "pada"

"di" is Indonesian preposition of place


For example :

• di taman = at the park
• di kamar = in the room
• di dinding = on the wall
• di halaman = on the page

It's just exactly the same deal as "pada". No matter what the place- related noun is, the preposition is only "di" . It does ease everyone without any hesitation. In Indonesian, we don't need to think so much about the pair of the preposition for certain place-related noun as well as the preposition of time in Indonesian.
