1. “memper + adjective” shows to modify the
condition of things or to make even more.......
For example :
cantik = beautiful ( mempercantik = to make
beautiful/ to beautify )
kuat = strong ( memperkuat = to make strong/ to
strengthen )
jelas = clear ( memperjelas = to clarify/ to make
clearer )
2. “memper +
verb / noun + kan”
lihat = to see/ to watch ( memperlihatkan = to show
)
guna = a use ( mempergunakan = to use )
3.”memper......+ -i”
baik = good ( memperbaiki = to make something repaired/
to repair )
baru = new ( memperbarui = to make something new/ to
renew )
*All of those three forms above can be passive voice
by changing the “mem-“ into “di-“
For example :
Komputer itu diperbaiki oleh tukang
That computer is repaired by skilled worker
Dia akan dipercantik di salon
She will be beautified at beauty salon
